Women should be safe
in their own homes
We believe the issue of domestic violence against women receives far too little attention. So we took the initiative with the #sicherheim campaign.
Domestic violence is a problem right across our society. The pandemic has made the situation even worse, as the universal rule “Stay home, stay safe!” means quite the opposite for people affected by domestic violence. We wanted to do something, so we teamed up with UFA, the Bertelsmann Content Alliance and actor Natalia Wörner to set up #sicherheim – a digital platform accompanied by a major awareness campaign. The campaign used powerful images and messages to draw attention to the issue right across Germany, and received a lot of support from celebrities and the media.
